The Most Powerful Force On The Face Of The Earth

What is the most powerful force on the face of the earth? Many might say, a nuclear weapon, others might say a particular country or army. Some might say evil. However, the most powerful force on the face of the earth is prayer. Prayer moves mountains, it brings change and prayer sets people free. Prayer invlokes God and the Kingdom of God to move in you're behalf. Prayer is a daily part of the Christian life and a praying Christian is a empowered Christian.

Prayer is powerful.

Christianity & The Christian Faith

There's no doubt that if you were to ask one hundred people to explain the Christianity, you'd probably get many different opinions. That could become quite confusing to someone trying to understand Christianity. Truth is, the best way to come to understand Christianity is to read the Bible and join a local church where you can sit under scriptural teachings by a Pastor and those that are anointed to teach the scriptures.

For example, here is a great way to test your Christian Faith and knowledge of Christianity. Visit the Christianity page, read what's written and see if you agree with what's written or not and the reasons why. If you've studied the Bible, you will be able to either agree with what is written or come to places of disagreement. You might also even lean some new things.

The Grandparents Site

Thank God for Grandparents, moms and dads. Grandparents are a very important part of a family. They come with years of wisdom, life experiences and are special to every child. Just imagine life without grandparents and the loss that such would bring.

I just heard about a special site on television, looked it up and was amazed at the heart of the site. It's called Grandparents.com and it's a must see. You'll enjoy all the information, tips, ideas, links and the overall heart of the site. There's something for everyone at Grandparents.com , what a great site and idea.

Facebook, Twitter, Social Blogs, & Churches

I just read a very interesting article about teens that said more teens turn to Facebook, Twitter, and Social Blogs like Blog Catalog that they turn to churches and church support groups. The article went on to ask, are social networks a better spiritual partner that churches? Interesting question, however the answer is no.

Of course there are some great Christian networks online and a lot of Christian's that blog and contribute on Facebook, Twitter and other social blogs, however in my personal opinion online social networks will never provide the true relationships that a pastor, eldership or church congregation offers regarding spiritual matters and spiritual partners. It's just not possible and the two are like night and day.

However, I do see this as a door that has opened to share God, God's love, salvation and the Kingdom of God provided that it's done in a loving, non forceful way. That is to say, it's one thing to share faith online, but it's another thing to force feed people and create debates. Maybe that's why I love blogging so much. We just share and it's a choice, no one has to read what we share. However, and thank God, that millions do. Personally I like Facebook, Twitter, the Blog Catalog and many other great social networks. If you haven't checked them out, I encourage you to do so. You can meet a lot of great people online.

When It's Time For Some Changes

Do you ever get there? When change is needed. Those times that you have to make decisions that sometimes you'd rather not make. Sometimes regarding a job change, family matters, relational matters, finances and so on. We all do.

One thing that I have learned is to apply patience coupled with prayer when making decisions regarding changes. This coupled with thinking matters through always seems to help. You see, making decisions without prayer, patience and thinking matters through, well that's like trying to get a A+ on a test, and not doing your homework.

Blessings are found through prayers, patience and the application of wisdom.

Watching Your Salt Intake

When my wife started encountering some heart problems, the doctor gave her some information on eating habits. One of the things that he made very clear was about salt intake and placed her on a 2,000 mg limit per day. So she started watching her sodium intake and looking into food facts. Well you would be surprised, but when you do the math, breakfast, lunch and dinner can easily hit 3,500 mg. Just a trip to the local fast food place for lunch can easily hit 1,500 mg or more.

I too started changing my eating habits, using less salt, eating more fish, selected vegetables, chicken and so on. I cut out the salt, the coffee, and stopped eating so much fast food. As the months passed, I started feeling better and having more energy. You'd be surprised how much sodium your taking in, even at a local restaurant. Ask for the nutrition chart, you just might be surprised.

Watch your salt intake, eating habits and live healthier.

Prayer For America's Farms & Farmers

Today I watched a news program with Willie Nelson about Farm Aid. After listening to the program and the continued struggles of the American Farmer I was amazed. It seems that we continue to lose famer's and farmlands weekly. Willie sang a wonderful song about the situation and the one thing that stood out about the lyrics was the wording that shared that farmers were loosing their farms to banks. This of course will have an affect on our food supply as times passes. What would America do without our farmers and farms? Where would all the food and grain to feed cattle come from? How would this affect not only our food supply, but also the price of food at the grocery store.

As a child our family would visit Orange County occationally. There were tons of Orange groves and small farmlands. Now some 40 years later, there are no Orange groves and just a few small growers here and there. Over the years I have seen this happen to much of California.

Please pray for the Farmers Of America and our farmlands. Maybe what America needs is less bailout money for corporations that have gone bad and more money invested into our Farmers, farmlands and the heart of America.

Reaching Out To The Children Of The World

There are millions of them. Children that are homeless, hungry, and that are in need of medical attention. From the streets of communities right here in America to the nations of the world. They are there, in need and hurting. Some might say, it's not our problem. Some might say, we could never make a difference. Yet there they are, by the millions.

I have been involved in ministry for over 14 years now and I've come to know and love many ministries around the world. However of all of them, there is one that has always touched my heart. Feed The Children. If you've never heard of Feed The Children or seen their web site, you should. Just visit feedthechildren.org

Bringing Change When Change Is Needed

Life can at times be overwhelming and we can find ourselves is seasons that are down right unbearable. Of course we wonder many times how this has happened to us as if life has dealt us some bad cards. Well, sometimes life does, however other times our decisions bring forth consequences that lead to seasons of difficulties. If this describes you, know that your not alone. It happens to many of us. Yet if we turn to Christ for forgiveness, wisdom, guidance and apply the teachings and sayings of Jesus. We can soon find change coming to us, right when it's needed most.

Allow Jesus to get into the boat of your life. Jesus can calm the storms.

The Doctrine & Commandments Of Men

Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Senior Citizens & Rest Homes

Many years ago my aunt, myself and a few others would weekly go and share time with the Senior Citizens at a local rest home. Each week when we arrived they were all egar to see us. We'd all gather in a large room, set up our sound system, have worship and share God's love with them. Then afterwords we'd all spend time praying with them and talking about everyday life situations. It was a very enjoyable season in my life and I loved spending time with all the Senior Citizens at the rest home. My Aunt visited them weekly for almost two years, as that was her ministry.

There are blessings in serving others and spending time with them.

Great Christian Books & Reading

Oh my, there are some fantastic Christian books out there. Over the years I have read many wonderful, encouraging and life changing books. In my earlier years as a new Christian, I would read and read and read. Thinking back I was devouring books that were written by men and women that had been Christian's for sometimes 10,15 and 20 plus years. Through such I was able to gain wisdom and insight through the many years that they as authors had been walking with God. What a blessing.

Let me encourage you to read some great Christian books. You will be blessed and gain valuable insight. I also encourage you to visit some of the great online book stores where you will find tons of books at great prices and savings. Simply Google Christian books.

Born To Make A Difference & Be A Blessings

Our world is filled with people that are encountering difficulties. Times have become challenging to say the least. If each of us were to simply be a blessing to others, we could all be a part of making a difference. Reach out today and help someone in need. Maybe a co worker that is somewhat depressed or stressed out. Possibly a friend that has fallen on hard times. Maybe the boy or girl down the street who's parents have separated. The widow, the single mother and especially the elderly.

Regardless of the needs, together we all can make a difference and bring joy into someone else's life.

Just look, see, and do something!

Blessings are found in blessing others.

Preach Christ, The Kingdom Of God & Kingdom Principles

Hope is like a rich high octane fuel that propels us forward. However, when false hopes have been poured into us, the end result can lead to great depression, feelings of hopelessness, lost trust and our faith can be damaged.

There is great fruit that comes forth when Kingdom Truth's are spoken.

Rivers Of Information & Knowledge

There are endless amounts of information that is available on the Internet. If you need to find it, it can be found on the Internet. There's the good, the bad and the ugly out there for all eye's to see. Just imagine some of the damage that can be caused.

Over the years I have maintained many websites, forums and become members of other sites and forums. Back in around 2006 I started getting involved in the blogging world and started building a Christian Blogging Network which has grown to over 150 blogs plus interaction in other blogging communities. It's hard work to maintain a network, however it's also fun.

Just imagine all the people around the world that you could reach. Just imagine all the pearls that God has sown into the good ground of your heart that you could share and bless others with. Let me encourage you to start a blog and share the love of God with others around the world. Create a river of good things and watch it flow to the nations. Together, we can all make a difference.

All Because Of A Flu Virus

As I'm sure that you are aware of, the flu season will be coming soon. Last year my daughter and wife caught a bad case of the flu. My daughter recovered in around seven days, however my wife ended up in the hospital in ICU. The virus that she caught ended up attacking her heart, damaging her heart mussel and almost took her life. She left the hospital 7 days later with heart failure, a pacemaker and a heart that only functioned at 20%. That was in December of 2008. By June of 2009 her heart was functioning at 33% as some improvement has come forth. Life has changed to say the least. My wife before this illness was in perfect health. Who would have thought.

With the flu season soon to come and fears of a swine flu epidemic. Be wise and take precautions to protect your health and that of your family.

The Straight And Narrow

Jesus spoke of the wide and broad path saying many go therein and that it leads to destruction. Jesus also spoke of the straight and narrow, saying few find it and it leads to everlasting life. This can be applied to many aspects of life. It is the same with a house being built upon a solid foundation vs. an unstable foundation. The house which is built upon a solid foundation will stand when tested. However, a house built upon unstable foundation will not.

Be sure to find the narrow path and build your life on solid foundation.

Cruel Fires That Burn From Deep Within

It is written that out of the mouth comes forth the abundance of the heart. So, what does that say about the heart? In such cases when angers are present, uncontrollable angers, bitterness, and words that are the fruit of such. What is in the heart? In the heart filled with peace, grace, mercy, compassion, love and the fruits of the Spirit. Is the heart overflowing with the love of Christ?

Just fuel for thought.

The Gateway That Children Encounter

Have you ever heard that saying? The eye's are the gateway to the soul. Have you ever seen the affects upon a child when they are exposed to movies that show violence? I'm not talking about after they have become conditioned after watching them for a few years. I'm talking about the very first time they are exposed to the images. Most children at that young age react with fear, deep concern and are deeply affected. Of course if that same child is permitted to view images of violence, after a while, they become numb to it. It merely becomes entertainment.

I've always been amazed at life in the sense of when a life enters this world. That tiny little infant basically has no knowledge of anything. He or she is just here. They depend upon their parents to feed them and care for them. They are born, open their eye's and see for the very 1st time.

What are your children watching and what is filling there heart, mind and soul?

When Anger Burns & Becomes Rage

We all occasionally encounter anger. Anger is one of the ways we express many different emotions. That is to say that under the anger can be a variety of feelings and emotions. Yet when anger becomes rage and enters into those uncontrollable stages, that anger is dangerous and can bring destruction to all that experience it. Un controllable anger can destroy a home, a family, a marriage and even close friendships. It is like a flood that overtakes people and their lives.

Here are some proverbs on anger: Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools. A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:

Look, See And Do Something

Our world is filled with people in need. Even the very city or community that you live in is filled with hurting people. Sometimes it's the fatherless child down the street, or a single mother that is struggling. Other times it is some one's mother or father, our senior citizens. Other times it's a widow, or a troubled lost teenager. Regardless of the age, situation of circumstance, there are many hurting people within our communities.

There is a saying that I dealy love. "Look, See & Do Something."
Blessings come through reaching out to those in need.

When Tempers Flair

There's no doubt that arguments unfold. In the work place, in families, between husbands and wives and on other occasions. Sometimes augments can get very nasty, angers set in and rage unfolds. The end results can be endless hurtful words spoken and sometimes even violence. It's amazing how a peaceful day can very quickly become a day of emotional and sometimes even physical destruction.

May we all love one another as Christ so loves us. May we all extend compassion, mercy and forgiveness when others offend us. May we all seek to be a solution to the problem.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

And Great Fear Came Upon All The Church

But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things. And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him. And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in. And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out. Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband. And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

Imagine those days.

Heaven's Ladder

Do you ever have dreams that are about heaven, angels, or the Kingdom of God? Here's a scripture from the book of Genesis where Jacob encountered a heavenly dream: And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

May you have dreams filled with heavenly encounters.

The Truth That Sets Us Free

It seems these days that if one joins a local fellowship they soon are placed into positions of service from being involved in the prayer ministry, to the prophetic ministry and in many other positions. Of course there is training, however the training is pretty class 101 and basic. I've become concerned about this because it seems that church membership seems to be the driving force behind this process. The concerning part is that people are placed into positions and ministry prior to spending time in the Word of God. Therefore, how can they minister the kingdom of God, the Word of Truth or counsel people according to the word of God? Further, what of Satan and the demonic forces that wage war against the saints, being the church? How can a church member put on the very armor of God if they haven't studied the scriptures?, therefore becoming prey to the attacks of the enemy.

Just recently a well respected member of the church that I attend shared with us that God takes her throughout the universe, that she's seen Pluto, Venus, mars and the milky way. OK. Another woman shared with us that God takes care of her sexual needs to include orgasms. Interesting. I could go on with stories and encounters with God that are not only unscriptural, but also just flat out off the wall. Would you want someone with these belief systems praying over you, prophesying over you or counseling you? I sure don't.

My point being that it seems that personal experiences, personal beliefs, personal applications and the entertainment of such are taking precedents over the word of God at times. Within such, I feel that the very true and sure foundation, even the teachings of the apostles are placed on the back burner thereby weakening the church and God's Will for the church. You see, God's Word and only God's Word is a lamp unto our feet. The word of God is the sure foundation of the church and when the word of God is compromised, the foundation of the church shifts from the sure foundation to sand. One might say that the word of God continues forth, that even today God's Words are being spoken through the Holy Spirit, prophets and the prophetic ministry. Ok, so then why has the church become so powerless if these new words and prophetic words are truly from God. Why do many times these very prophetic words only serve the purpose of entertaining people and rarely come to pass or proove to be fruitful.

I'm just a tad curious here?

Jesus said "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. In the Psalms is says "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Another scripture that comes to mind is "And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables". And "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.

Jesus also said "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Let me encourage you to spend quality time reading and studying the Word of God. For by and through such you will be empowered to discern truth from fiction. The Truth will set you free.

Blessings, in the Word of God
